Carlos Tevez: The Evolution of the Diva Dude/Bitter Woman

You ever come across a person, object and/or situation and see it in a totally different way from others? Like where some may see difficulty you see opportunity? They see the X-Factor but you see a rip-off? They see David Guetta but you see the death of good music?

It’s the same dynamics when it comes to this Carlos Tevez situation. Whilst others were shocked by dude’s actions last week against Bayern Munich when he refused to come on the pitch and disrespected the manager; I saw it coming a mile away, why? Not because he thinks he’s bigger than the club and gets paid too much (not that I necesarily disagree witht that theory) but simply because he’s fulfilling his already allocated role of the Diva Dude.

“DD’s are bred in insecurity…grown-*ss babies who need female attention to validate their existence” – The Champ

Tevez is a diva dude, not content with a great club, starting games, gaining silverware or high wages he always seems to demand more…why? In banter with the fellow brothers Don Kwelu had pointed out that Tevez has become the side chick rather than the main squeeze at Man City which as result has turned him bitter. We all agreed in laughter but where we had sympathy for his situation initially, we realized that from when he first stepped into English football it was his own doing and foundation of greed that now has brothers saying “Damn Homie, in High School You Was The Man Homie” The evolution of the diva dude/bitter woman

Where did it all begin?

Picture Carlos Tevez as a beautiful South American woman  with dreams of making it big in the Western World (Europe) and linking the arms of a wealthy and successful man (Football Club) from a lucrative industry (Erm…Football). She meets a relatively rich and successful man in the form of West Ham United FC but all isn’t as it seems. You see West Ham represents that dude who gets swindled into proposing to a voluptuous good looking foreign lady, when her intentions from day one was just to get the marriage license so she can be eligible in the country (Tevez used West Ham as a launch pad to get into one of the world’s best leagues with the obvious intention to leave after one season and go to a bigger club).

So while this guy thinks all is well and he is the talk of the town for marrying this young virile woman, she’s really planning on trying to impress the bigwigs in his industry (Manchester United and Chelsea) so she can advance. When the relationship isn’t smooth sailing (West Ham facing relegation) she is quick to take a swipe at the very person that brought her into the country in the first place. Fast forward the last day of the season (industry meet up) she sees the man(chester united) she wants and makes a play for him (scores on the final day of the season against Man Utd) and has now attracted his interest.  She divorces her current man (Tevez leaves West Ham after ‘talks’ with others) knowing fully well that she’s about to hit the jackpot; lo and behold she begins seeing this new man(chester united).

What’s to bare in mind is that all they’re doing at the moment is seeing each other and are not  exclusive (Manchester United only signed Tevez on a loan deal) as he is somewhat weary of her high maintenance nature (£30million demand to sign him) that she’s acquired…likely from a golddigger friend ( Kia Joorabchain, his agent). They form a seemingly great bond, she makes a great date at events (matches) and his friends and family (fans) seem to take to her. She gives her all for him, shows him the love that not many other brothers get and shows all the credentials he likes but rather than seal the deal with her he begins to see other people (signs Berbatov). She’s taken back by this and doesn’t understand what the problem is; she begins to slack (only 5 premier league goals all season) and slowly but surely he begins to drift from her to the new woman in his life. He has a heart to heart and says its down to financial security and that he can’t offer her what she wants, so she should  take him for who he is (country’s best club) and what he has (around £20 million) or leave him. She leaves him..

Along comes the multi-billionaire rival/enemy of her former man ready to give her everything she wants. She has reached her destination. Tevez is loving it and finally gaining the spotlight he thinks he ‘deserves’.. The problem here is that Tevez now knows he’s the ish, big contract, talisman, he’s presumably untouchable. Her billionaire new man is too much of a nice guy, giving her whatever she wants, matching her demands so much that she can now take the piss out of him. So Tevez all of a sudden decides he’s not digging Manchester and threatens to leave. Her man(chester city) is willowing in defeat and no jewellery (FA Cup silverware) he gives is going to satisfy her…all seems lost for the dude and she now thinks she can move onto bigger again…but she played the wrong card.

“The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room” – Frank Lucas

Tevez’s attitude was being watched and reported on WORLDWIDE; even with all the talent in the world who really wants to deal with his way of thinking in an era that’s breeding enough primadonnas in sport as it is? Out of nowhere her man realizes…”wait a minute! I’m rich!” And just like her former man(chester united) before he seeks the courtship of another woman (signs Sergio Kun Aguero). She is now his main squeeze while Tevez has the role of the side chick and holds a prominent role on the bench because nobody wants his (her) high maintenance arse.

Back to current events; because of this when Mancini signals for Tevez to come as a substitute against Bayern Munich he says no! He’s bitter that he’s no longer considered the main squeeze and his voice is no longer relevant and knows he’ll only be playing a cameo role for the rest of his days…or at least until January. If there’s any occasion to throw up the deuces sign to Tevez, then it’s now.

I laugh at this situation because it’s karma; you have to know when there’s a limit, you would’ve thought a brother would’ve learned from Tony Montana’s mistakes. Now he’s facing fines and possibly a quick exit; mind you not towards the next billionaire but more likely home, playing for the Corinthians talking to himself about what could’ve been. In Diva Dude/Bitter Woman’s terms…single, lonely and unable to function without co-signs and acknowledgements.

Love it! This analysis makes so much sense. He just wants to go to South America I guess, like Adriano and Ronaldinho before him.

    LOVE THE WORK!!!!!!

    BUT……

In defence of Tevez…. he was always too good for West Ham, he knew that and West Ham knew that, it was always going to be a short term arrangement. He (West Ham) wanted her (Tevez) for rep, to show he can attract players (women) like that and short term gains (stay in the prem).

He moved to Manchester United (someone on her level), she (Tevez) impressed, Man (chester United) wanted her, she wanted him, even when Berbatov was there, but her (slave master / dad whatever you wanna call him) was demanding too much (slave price / dowry) for the marriage to happen.

So to please all parties he left to the rival and from there he has just flopped himself. Now he (she) has made abit of money and wants to go back to his high school sweetheart (or the village equivalent) back home; Corinthians.

[Tried to leave a comment on par but VERY DIFFICULT.....Once again brilliant read, hope my points make sense]

As a woman with a stereotypical lack of football knowledge – this article has been incredibly useful, funny, and educational! I’ll certainly be using these analogies to impress my next date lol. Great work guys!
